Getting Here
If you would like the freedom of having your own car, there are plenty of rental options available in Geneva, but please be sure to let them know that you will be driving in both Switzerland and France. There are French and Swiss sides to Geneva airport, it is easier to arrange everything through the Swiss side, but make sure your vehicle comes with the Swiss road tax, or you will be liable to pay it on returning to Switzerland.
Getting here is very easy by flying with any of the major or discount airlines to Geneva and transfers from the airport are included in the price of the chalet. The train can be taken also to Geneva or Annecy with stations at Thonon Les Bains and Cluses, being slightly closer. If you wish to drive it takes about 8 hours from Calais and is very direct and straight forward on the autoroute (please be aware that you will need to pay tolls on the French motorway, normally about 60€ each way). If you have any questions on travel plans or would like a more detailed driving route please don’t hesitate to ask.
